The Rauma Railway (Norway) leads passengers from Dombas to Andalsnes, the most recommended period for this tour being between May and August. Be prepared to see gorgeous alpine meadows and deep gorges and to hike, because the train makes some stops at several hiking trails. The main highlights are the emerald green Rauma River, the Trolls' Path and of course, the beautiful fjords.
Glacier Express (between St. Moritz to Zermatt, Switzerland) is another spectacular route that passes over 291 bridges, through more than 90 tunnels, and leads you for more than seven hours close to the best landscapes of the country. The main highlights are Oberalp Pass and the Swiss Alps, of course! But also Rhone and Rhine Rivers, that you'll be able to see closely.
Inlandsbanan, (Sweden) is a famous railway between Kristinehamn and Gallivare, known especially because it passes through the Arctic Circle. Departures are available from June to August and from December to April, the route is 1400 km long, lasting for 14 hours. And you won't only pass over the Arctic Circle, but you will also have the chance to see polar bears, elks and seals. You don't want to miss this route!
